What are the minimum requirements to use your actions?
Addy Lane actions are compatible for use with both Mac and PCs. Photographers with an intermediate to advanced knowledge of Photoshop® and a basic understanding of adjustment layers and layer masks should have no difficulties in adjusting these actions to suit their needs.
Do your actions work in Photoshop Elements?
Addy Lane actions are now available for Elements 8.0-11.0. Because some of these actions require different processes it is important that you select the elements version when purchasing. Future action sets may or may not be compatible with Elements.
Will your actions work on all of my images?
As with any actions, results will vary depending on the exposure quality of each image. These actions were designed to be run on well-exposed images and are meant to be used as an enhancement and not as a means of repair. Reading the instructions within an action will help guide you how best to use the action, so please be sure to read them the first few times you run an action. Addy Lane actions do offer incredible versatility and with a bit of experimentation, I am confident that you will quickly discover how to apply these actions to your work to best suit your shooting style.
What happens after I hit the purchase button?
After you hit the add to cart button, you will be redirected to a shopping cart where you will complete your transaction through Paypal. Once your payment is complete, you will be automatically directed to download a zipped file containing the actions, tutorial (when applicable) and terms of service.
How do I install actions in PS?
- Save the file in an Action file (or easy to remember location) on your hard drive and then unzip the file.
- Open Photoshop®
- Click on the arrow in the upper right hand corner to open fly out window
- Select load actions
- Click on the Addy Lane Action (.atn) file. Actions will automatically install
Alternately, double click or right click action and choose Photoshop to open and it will install itself
How do I install actions in Elements?
Addy Lane actions for Elements now run in either the Effects Palate or Action Player for versions 8-10. Complete installation instructions are included with purchase. You can now find complete instructions here with trouble shooting tips.
Elements 11 users can find complete instructions here, or simply right click the .atn file located in the correct folder per instructions after purchase and select “open with” and choose Photoshop® Elements 11. Elements will open and the actions will automatically install into the action window.
What happens if I cannot download my actions?
Do to the nature of internet connections, different operating systems and internet browsers, there may be an occasional problem with a download link. It is rare, but if it does happen to you, not to worry. Simply try the download again later or try switching to a different browser (Firefox, IE or Safari for Mac). If all else fails, simply shoot us an email addylane.actions@gmail.com and we will make sure you receive a working link.
